O' Neill's

After the sickening experience in the discrimating pub/restaurant, we ended up going into another nearby pub/restaurant, O' Neill's.

The place is pretty small and PACKED.
Coincidentally, a few groups of my batchmates were there as well!
All eating after shopping HAHA







The food was actually quite nice though some of it were kinda small..lol
and it's not like super duper exp..So it's ok =)

But I like the environment there. Everyone squeezed into a small restaurant, chatting, eating and drinking. It's pretty lively.

(That's NOT my glass of beer ok GOH CHIN TEIK. Stop lecturing again) ;P

Plus most of them are there to watch the EuroCup match. That night, it was btw Portugal and Germany.

Overall, I kinda like their way of life here except for the fact that ppl here would most probably die by the age of 40 due to liver disease. HAHA

The good and the bad.

Hey ppl!!
Today is a Saturday, and finally I can sit down in my room and *fuh..* chill and relax...
It's been DAMN hectic since classes started cause it's like 9-5 EVERYDAY and our lunch break is only an hour!!
CRAZY ONE!! makan pun no time...babi...

Overall, things have been great so far...=) Thankfully...
I'm beginning to love my room a lot!!
And my bed!! Although it's damn puny...me love it! So cosy and comfy....
and my room even has my smell d (according to voonjia) YAY!

Btw sales just started last thurs!!
And the shops are open till 8pm! (Usually 5pm also they halau u out from the shop d...damn lazy wan lor, those kwai lous)

Sadly, we had class till 5pm, so right after class, we rushed to Zara! But had to make a few stops since a few other shops caught our eyes..haha
I even saw this nine west bag which I *heart* a LOT LOT LOT! BUT it's freaking 60 pounds!! WAHHH!!!!

We made it to Zara before it closes but sadly, we went quite late and that time, all the other "kiasu" ppl went and buy the nice clothes d! The ones that are left ain't that nice or if got nice ones also boh size already or damn freaking exp. =(

After shopping, we were SOOOO hungry!! Somemore don't know where to eat, since we're still not familiar with the place.
So we walked aimlessly for a while, trying to find a proper restaurant, but all the "restaurants" were pubs instead
*sweats*

Seriously, ppl here drink alcohol like drink water like that.
I think alcohol cheaper than water lor..HAHA
So it u're an alcoholic, u should really migrate here. Really...

Oh...so what was I saying?
Erm, yeah, finding restaurants.
So we finally decided to dine in this nice pub/restaurant near George Square.
We went there once before. A senior brought us there for a drink one night.
Their policy was that after 8pm, no children are allowed cause it'll evolve from a restaurant to a pub or some shit like that.
So anyway, a bunch of us went to the bar to order our food.
Waited damn long to order and when we finally did, the idiot cashier wanted to see your IDs.

FINE.
We looked underage. I get it.
So we showed her our student IDs.
BUT NO! She said they do not accept student IDs...
........WTH?! U dont accept student IDs then u accept what wor?!
PASSPORT AR?!
M'sian IC ar?!
Bloody hell...

I damn tulan d lor..Ppl already damn hungry cause it was already 8pm. Somemore queue damn long..then now u say we can't order cause we looked underage and u don't freaking accept our IDs!!

Then she said she'll ask her manager and those other shits...Somemore show us tulan face...
ARGHH!!!
So angry!!!!!

In the end, she kept saying they don't accept, it's their policy bla bla bla...
And when we told her we were there before a few days ago and the person there accepted our IDs, she said she doesnt know who accepted it. But it's their policy that they do not accept it.

BLOODY HELL!!
Discrimination wei!!!!

In the end, all of us show her our tulan faces and we went O' Neill's instead. HMPH!

Apparently, according to Li Ping, discrimation here is pretty teruk...
They really look down on Asians, and when I heard of her experience, it WAS pretty scary...=(
Didn't know it was THAT bad....

Heck...I hope I don't experience too much of that...
Just need to get rid of the jakun-ness look!

Glasgowfied

The first moment I came out of Glasgow International Airport,
I felt the cool breeze and it was a love at first sight thing.

I immediately fell in love with the place. =)
Love the buildings, love the weather. =)
But surely I'll hate winter. No doubt about it. But as for now, the weather is just purrfect!

Farewell dinner

Seriously, I got this habit of blogging like 4-5 days after the actual event. Wth.

Anyway, last wed, the girls brought me to my last dinner with them.
We were planning to go to this restaurant Ting suggested in Bangsar, but mo la la rained SUPER HEAVILY!! Not to mention that night was the "All M'sian gathering party at petrol station nationwide" night. Shessh...

So guess what? Surprise surprise, we got caught in a super MASSIVE jam of DOOM again!!
I tell u ar...damn mengada lo.
Why do I have to get stuck in every possible jam everytime I get out of Subang?!
Oh...that's because I'm living in KUALA LUMPUR! ARGHH!!

Okok back to my topic.
Erm....oh ya...So we couldn't go Bangsar cause it'll take us like 3 freaking hours to reach there since tortoise also faster than our car.

In the end, we decided to dine in 1U.
After lots of aiya-eat-where-ar? we decided to eat at my fav Italian restaurant, Dave's Pizza and Pasta!

Being a Malaysian that I am, I have NEVER been up to KL Tower before...like seriously...

I always wanted to go..(don't ask me why) but never got a chance to.

Cause who la, would want to go up KL Tower just to see................Kuala Lumpur?! *duh*

But last Fri, ct told me to get dressed up nicely since we're going "somewhere" nice.

Haha!

That...you don't need to worry dear...., cause I'm overdressed like 90% of the time compared to u! ;P

And yup...u guessed it, he brought me to none other than the "famous" KL Tower.

*Wahhhh.....*

We were supposed to reached there at 7pm, but due to the STUPIDkillermassive JAM of doom, we reached there at 8pm when the sky is already pitch black.

Apparently if u're up there at 7pm, u can see the sunset which they say is really gorgeous.

We missed it!!

But it was still beautiful la...esp the twin tower at night. The lightings were just dazzling.

Ct actually wanted to bring me to dinner in the restaurant up there, but after reading a few reviews, he changed his mind.

Cause besides the sucky food that they serve, the price was sooo unbelievable!

Having said that, he brought me to Starhill instead. (Trust me, it's wayy cheaper!)

When we reached Starhill, it was already soooo late, and we couldn't decide which restaurant to dine at.

I was looking through a menu outside a western restaurant when ct whispered into my ears, "Eh? Harith Iskandar!"

When I looked up, Harith Iskandar was sitting directly in front of me! Haha! (To those who don't know who the hell is that, he's a famous Malaysian comedian la. Always see him on tv wan)

He was even wearing some cute little masquerade which is too small for his face WAHAHAH


Damn cute la.

Anyway, after walking round and round and round, we decided on the restaurant with the most ppl in it..and not to mention the biggest one too!

Yup...that's the name of that restaurant. Though I personally feel the name doesn't fit the place at all..LOL





The place was really nice. They even have a jazz band playing. Me likey jazz...=))

Yes! Mel Gibson dined in this restaurant before! The manager was proudly telling us about it, even adding that Mel Gibson was actually very short about ct's height or so. Haha!

Quite a lot of celebrities were there before loh. Tony Leung and Michelle Yeoh to name a few.


Oh oh! One thing I don't really like about the place. The TABLE.

Other than that, the place, food and service was SUPERB!!

This is our starter. And I don't even know what's that. But it tasted REAL good! Crunchy...and the sambal-like thingy was really good too!



My freshly squeezed THICK mango juice with a complimentary carrot juice in a shot glass. MmmMmmMmm..........


They got lots and I mean, LOTS of food on their menu.

But guess what did I ordered?






The SAME OLD yummy yummy carbonara. =))) I'll never go wrong with that.


I thought ct would be ordering some japanese food or sth, but "surprise surprise", he ordered a pizza. ZZzzzZZZzz.....

Both of us are damn predictable -_-"
